Guys it's my lovely trainer's birthday and so I'm gonna tell yall a little bit about her, because Sisar Wynn is so amazing :) 


Sisar Wynn: 
-Guys it's her birthday today but she made US (the sisters from Pori are here for a district PDay) SOURDOUGH BREAD?! 
-So I completely butchered painting my nails yesterday and she painted them for me 🙏
-She's also making a homemade cheesecake for a members birthday on Wednesday?!?! 

In short, I'm so incredibly grateful for her. She's so kind and patient, especially as I struggle with jet lag and you know just being a super new missionary BUT SHES THE BEST I LOVE YOU SISAR WYNN ! 

Now as for this week......guys I won't lie it's so hard to remember all the things that happen and IT'S PDAY AGAIN?! Time flies when you're across the world preaching the gospel I suppose? I miss yall, I hope things are going well! I'm praying for all of you, don't forget, God is aware of you and your needs and loves you so much 🫶

Oh I realize I forgot to mention in any of my emails that I sprained my ankle like a couple days before I left the MTC and I was so scared I wasn't gonna be able to leave on time....because I didn't know what had happened to my ankle for awhile and I couldn't walk on it-BUT through the grace of God I've been healing up and I'm so grateful to be here ! 


Updates:
🤍 Splits with the sisters in Tampere! And it was so awesome to learn from Sisar Mclmoil ! 
🤍 While in Tampere all of us sisters went to a super nice lady's apartment and when asked to guess how long I had been out she said 3 MONTHS?! Then ofc I told her 3 weeks and she was pretty surprised haha
🤍 Gave a talk in church! It was like 12 minutes long-yes in Finnish-and the members were so shocked at how good and clear my pronunciation was....God is real. Yall my MTC mates will tell you I was NOT good at reading in the MTC so it had to have been God's hand 
🤍 New referral! But get this, it was from a missionary in the Baltic mission (Estoina, Latvia etc) and IT WAS MY SISTER-IN-LAWS BROTHER??! Shoutout Spencer Nolan 
🤍 Oh! We also had a language class while in Tampere with 2 members who are Finnish and they are SO hilarious- 
🤍 We've seen so many tender mercies this week, found nice people to talk to, and just His work goes on ! 

Spiritual Thought:
“God having provided some better things for them through their sufferings, for without sufferings they could not be made perfect.”

This is a quote from the talk "But If Not" which I'll link below. I highly recommend reading it! He talks about how real faith is having trust in God when things don't go our way and trusting He has a plan for us. And I love this quote especially because without out suffering how would we come to know our Savior?? Our Savior suffered all things for our sake, so the next time you're suffering remember that it's in those hard times you come to know your Savior. You're never alone in those times ! God and Jesus love you more than you know, put your trust in Them! They can make more of your life, your trials than you could imagine! Let them turn your trials into blessings 💗

💙 Example of the funny Finnish members who taught us Finnish: 
We were talking about how Russians wear hats into the sauna (and uh for those that don't know usually you don't wear too much to sauna) and he says....
"It's not for humans, it's for Russians." Hahaha 
💙 DA (dinner appointment) at a members house every Sunday! They're so much fun and this week they put me in a hockey outfit (I played the accordion there last time)
💙 Guys Finnish people love their dogs. I see a million dogs here and I fully intend to meet people through their dogs 🫡
💙 I GOT 3 "Moi" s BACK?! So for context we say "hey" or "moi" to like everyone we pass and it's more normal to have no reply but I've heard 3 back to me now !! Its the little things in life sometimes I suppose haha
💙 I bought a new shirt with the Rauma town center building yay!
💙 I can't say what we're planning for Sisar Wynn's birthday yet because she's on this email chain BUT it's gonna be so fun and check out my Google photos to see what we did!

 HAUKKUMINEN  It was super funny we got an airfryer at mission tour, our mission is in the process of getting them out to all the missionaries! They're super handy for making food fast which is such a blessing as a busy missionary BUT what was funny is that we had to carry this huge airfryer box all the way back home on public transport and stuff and someone said "(the title of this email) =Congratulations on the Airfryer!" It made me giggle.  PÄIVITYKSET  🔥 Mission Tour! aka the area president and his wife spoke with half of the missionaries in the mission and it was SO powerful. I had gone into "mission tour" wanting to know that the Lord was aware of me and the very first talk given by our lovely sister mission president (the wife of our mission president, she loves to say there is two mission presidents including herself haha I love her) talked about something I have been struggling with for a long time now.  Moi!  Well for starters...I MADE IT TO FINLAND!! My trainer is the absolute best and I feel so so lucky, her name is Sisar Wynn :) And I'm in a town called Rauma!! Its very beautiful, especially Vanha (old) Rauma-basically very cute and European  Per usual I'll get into some updates, spiritual thought, and some fun shoutouts haha  I hope everyone is doing well, I'm praying for yall and as always I'd love some emails sent my way... (I might not always have the time to respond-but I do read them !!) Also I miss my district/branch MTC peoples SO BAD RAHHHH so just know I pray for yall daily 🙏  Updates: 🤍 Our friend L wants to be baptized THIS FRIDAY !! She has such strong faith and we're meeting with her everyday to make her baptism possible. It's sometimes a little hard to understand each other, because she's from Romania and doesn't speak the best English BUT we always feel the spirit so strong when we meet with her  🤍 First Sunday in Finland !! Hiya everyone, this is my mom. (trainer)  Her name is Sister Wynn, she's going home this week and I am going to miss her so much. She has been such an example to me, from day 1, of Christlike love and charity. I love you Wynn!  But in other news, transfers are in a week. A WEEK! I swear the transfers just feel faster and faster and before I know it I'm going to be back home-so wild to think about.  Yay for Finnish boxing-day and celebrating Christmas for 3 days! We have so many lovely members who are gonna take us in during the holiday, AND my comp and I did some fun christmas things for each other too. We also had a Christmas Conference and I got to sing some songs! (serious shoutout to Aimee and being my inspiration to sing My Grown Up Christmas List)  But with it being Christmas time I think it appropriate to share a special spiritual thought focusing on the greatest gift of them all: Our dear savior and friend, Jesus Christ.  This Child divine...
