HAUKKUMINEN ๐Ÿ‘‘ "I want to kill my mom" OKAY WAIT WAIT I don't actually want to kill my mom guys don't worry!!! However, this is in fact what I said to my mission president word for word....allow me to explain: Sister Wynn is my "mom" because she's the one who trained me, or was my first companion here in Finland. So in mission terms she is my "mom" and I'm her "baby". Now you might be wondering "Sister Dickson why on earth do you want to kill Sister Wynn?!" Sooooo basically (more mission terminology) I say I was "born" in Rauma because it was my first area so when a missionary leaves they have a funeral and their last comp "kills" them. It just means they're going home haha. But let's jus say I think Pres was a bit confused for a minute about what I'd jus said....all I meant was I'd love to be Sister Wynn's last comp before she goes because she's amazing and I love her :)  Pร„...

HAUKKUMINEN ๐Ÿ‘‘ (The title means "your favorite redhead," and yes, someone called me this once and it was really funny) Soooo as you may or may not have noticed there's a lot more Finnish thrown in here, I thought it might be fun since y'all know the drill by now. ALSO fun fact "haukkuminen" the title that used to be "yapping" means barking in Finnish haha-I can't really think of a better word so that'll be our heading there for now. Okay, I gotta admit something to y'all...I've been saying it feels like summer for a couple of these emails now but guys it's been pretty cold, like it's usually about 12-15C (or 50 something F) BUT IT WARMED UP! It was 22C (or like 71F) on Saturday-the warmest it's been probably since I've been here AND I'M SO HAPPY-IT FEELS LIKE SUMMER!!? As my grandma would say, "We're having a heat wave!" ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ  Also I gotta say THANK Y'ALL I got so many emails last week and th...

YAPPING ๐Ÿ‘‘ Alright first order of business, I wanna thank everyone for taking time to read my email and special thanks to people who respond and send me emails. I enjoy reading them so much, even if I don't respond-I really wanted y'all to know that :) Like seriously THANK YOU wow wow wow wow in other news, I don't know if I've mentioned this before but a lot of the time I forget I'm in Finland. Or like in Europe? But I think that's just because Rauma is so much like my hometown. There's not really too much to remind me that I'm in Europe...at least that's what I'd been thinking...until I went tracting (knocking doors) with Sisar Hansen (we had companion exchanges in Rauma) and get this-the average Finnish front door is in their backyard. I can't make this up. You literally walk all the way around their house and into their backyard just to knock-it feels WAY more intrusive but it makes me giggle because I guess even the Finnish builders know...
