I miss Wynn

"I want to kill my mom" OKAY WAIT WAIT I don't actually want to kill my mom guys don't worry!!! However, this is in fact what I said to my mission president word for word....allow me to explain: Sister Wynn is my "mom" because she's the one who trained me, or was my first companion here in Finland. So in mission terms she is my "mom" and I'm her "baby". Now you might be wondering "Sister Dickson why on earth do you want to kill Sister Wynn?!" Sooooo basically (more mission terminology) I say I was "born" in Rauma because it was my first area so when a missionary leaves they have a funeral and their last comp "kills" them. It just means they're going home haha. But let's jus say I think Pres was a bit confused for a minute about what I'd jus said....all I meant was I'd love to be Sister Wynn's last comp before she goes because she's amazing and I love her :)

🤍 Return and Report!! I GOT TO SEE MY MTC DISTRICT FAMILY AGAIN!! AND I GOT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE!?!? So basically that was the best thing ever.

🤍 TRANSFERS ! Sisar Wynn is now in the South so I don't really know when I'll see her again...GAHHHHHHHH let's just say I fear I'll be super emo for awhile about this (and have been...I LOVE YOU SISTER WYNN 🩷)- in other news I thought the APs were being funny when they told me Sisar Dickens would be my next companion...oops...BUT that's just because SO many people already accidently call me Sister Dickins soooo this is gonna be a fun transfer-pray for these poor Finnish members hahahaha

🤍 A MEMBER'S MÖKKI ! So it was Juhannus just a few days ago, which is a Finnish holiday celebrating mid-summer. AND IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO FUN, so many members came and we just had like a party :)

🤍 I feel like my Finnish has has improved a lot since I've been here, mostly with understanding and I can only say "thanks" to God for the ability to speak/understand at all haha

🤍 We have members who are Chinese and their mom has been in town but she doesn't speak English or Finnish-And I thought it was so sad when members would try to welcome her and she couldn't understand so I whipped out my translate and told her as best as I could that they were trying to say "welcome" and I think she appreciated it! Still, it makes me wish I remembered more of my Chinese haha BUT I'm still just so so grateful that I was able to use my Chinese here a little!

🤍 As sad as transfer day was....it was super awesome to meet tons of other missionaries, they were so kind and I got to meet people I've been hearing only the best about from Sisar Wynn (like her "mom" and companion before me!)

This is one of my absolute favorite scriptures because I know God is my loving Heavenly Father. Like a father, He wants what's best for me and since He's God He knows PERFECTLY what is actually best for me. You are a child of God, who loves and cares for you more than you know or could ever understand. Trust in Him. He has all power, I've said this before but I don't think this is something that should be said only once-God can do miracles in your life AND if you let Him He can do miracles with you. Tell Him your hopes, dreams, desires and then ask what you can do to reach them. When we show God we have the desire and then act on the things we know to be right He can start to make us MORE than we ever thought we could be. Do more than we ever thought we could do, and that's because we don't have to do anything alone. With God nothing is impossible, because of His Son Jesus Christ. All will be made right, that's wrong in your life. You can change and start fresh! Never forget-you matter. You matter enough, someone loved you enough to die for you.

SIVUTEHTÄVÄT

⛱️YYTERI ! We went to this beach in Pori for our last District PDay and kinda our last "hoorah" before everything changed and people stay and go etc BUT it was such a beautiful beach, I think someone said it was the biggest beach in the Nortics?! And I got to roll down a sand dune-

⛑️ used CPR on my bread I left on the counter for two days and IT ACTUALLY CAME BACK TO LIFE?! It was like a rock and cpr turned it back to bread-

🏐 Volleyball with the Elders and some friends at a new sand volleyball place I'd never been before!? (YAY I LOVE VOLLEYBALL)

🇫🇮 Shoutout one of my MTC brothers (we were in the MTC together) is gonna be in my district !! I'M SO HYPE WOOHOOO

🌳 2 GREENIES ARE GONNA BE IN MY DISTRICT OUT OF THE 4 COMING TO FINLAND WHAAAT
