HAUKKUMINEN 👑

(The title means "your favorite redhead," and yes, someone called me this once and it was really funny) Soooo as you may or may not have noticed there's a lot more Finnish thrown in here, I thought it might be fun since y'all know the drill by now. ALSO fun fact "haukkuminen" the title that used to be "yapping" means barking in Finnish haha-I can't really think of a better word so that'll be our heading there for now. Okay, I gotta admit something to y'all...I've been saying it feels like summer for a couple of these emails now but guys it's been pretty cold, like it's usually about 12-15C (or 50 something F) BUT IT WARMED UP! It was 22C (or like 71F) on Saturday-the warmest it's been probably since I've been here AND I'M SO HAPPY-IT FEELS LIKE SUMMER!!? As my grandma would say, "We're having a heat wave!" 🌊🌊🌊 Also I gotta say THANK Y'ALL I got so many emails last week and that always makes me so happy thank you thank you kiitos kiiti kiitoksia!! As always, I pray for y'all, and I hope all is going so good :)

PÄIVITYKSET 💥

🤍 FIRST ZONE CONFERENCE! And I got to give a little thought to everyone in Finnish, which I was excited about but SO NERVOUS-I kid you not, I was what they call "shaking in my doc martens" I mean boots. ANYWAYS the point is I gave my thought and then, when it was my Mission President's turn to talk to us, he welcomed me to "my first zone conference" and then said "although it doesn't sound like it" and I was like WHA-NO WAY-HE THINKS MY FINNISH IS ALRIGHT

🤍 Ran into and got to talk to a lady from Taiwan?! (For those of you who don't know, I visited Taiwan and have a deep love for that place) so Sisar Wynn was like "aww that was like a little love note from God"

🤍 Met with a friend from Sri Lanka sooooo we invited a member who's also from Sri Lanka and he told us later that he was so grateful for the opportunity to meet with this friend because it reminded him of when he was taught :)

🤍 Also met with a friend from Estoina, and I was even able to share a quick thought in Finnish where the spirit was super strong-the friend isn't interested BUT we were trying to figure out what member we should invite to his lesson and one said they could come last minute and he was THE perfect member for this friend. (After we had asked like a bajillion other people) It was just another testimony to me that God is in the details!

🤍 GOT TO MEET WITH OUR FRIEND AFTER WEEKS (the one who wants to be baptized at some point) she is so cute and I missed meeting with her

🤍 This upcoming week is going to be INSANE-transfers are coming up (ours are 9 weeks usually) so I'll he finding out where I'll go and who my next comp will be Wednesday?!?!!

13 Ye are not able to abide the presence of God now, neither the ministering of angels; wherefore, continue in patience until ye are perfected.

I chose to share this verse mostly because of the last part, "continue in patience until ye are perfected". I've realized more and more that I'm doing enough, as long as I'm doing my best. As long as I'm trying there's something there that God can work with. He doesn't ask us to be perfect now (even tho we might want to be perfect now-) but to have faith that He can make more of us as we are just trying, taking small steps, doing small things. We always hear the saying "out of small things are great things brought to pass" remember that applies to you as well. Your small efforts are seen, and they do matter. God knows. Keep having faith! Pray, read your scriptures, go to church (go to the temple) because this is what makes great people, and eventually God's perfect people. :)

SIVUTEHTÄVÄT 🦋

💙 With the weather being so nice and all, we went on a cute picnic with one of our friends who always comes to our game nights! The reason I'm putting it in this category, however, is because of the environment of the spot we chose to picnic...let's just say, the sun was shining, the lake was beautiful, and my Omar munkki was delicious, aaaaaand let's not leave out the furries running around the table and the older ladies out tanning in very small swim suits...nice

💙 Sports at the beach for a Young Women's activity ! (Although the Elders were there too and some other guy members haha)

💙 Volleyball with our bestie who's Muslim, I love her so much and it was SO MUCH FUN

💙 And you can probably imagine after all this beach time I'm a bit sunburnt again...I didn't believe them when they said I would need sunscreen in Finland haha BUT I am thriving so no worries älä huoli

💙 I LEARNED HOW TO MAKE SOURDOUGH BREAD SHOUTOUT MISSION MAMA WYNN

💙 Guys I played Lazer Tag for the FIRST TIME !! Super duper fun, sadly I don't have pictures...

💙 Got some food from a Grilli and played Secret Hitler (silly fun board game) in a park with the district
