First of all I want to say, the rumors aren't true. Finland can get quite warm turns out haha-I was sweating my face off the other day because it was 30 degrees Celsius! (86F) And second off, that's all I'm gonna say here because I yapped like a madwoman again💢

PÄIVITYKSET 

💙 SPLITS IN TAMPERE and guys I talked with someone on public transport for the first time! She was a super sweet lady, she noticed how crowded the tram was and scooched over so I could sit down-and it was such a wholesome conversation with her broken English and my broken Finnish haha 

🤍 So during tracting and knocking the doors of the apartment literally across the street from us...WE FOUND A MEMBER?! We didn't even know she was a member when she let us in until she started talking about other members hahaha but apparently it's super hard for her to get to church so I hadn't met her my whole time here in Rauma?! I say this about everyone (but it's true) but she's just a wonderful lady 

💙 DA! (Dinner appointment with a member) Sister Wynn and I were supposed to go to this member's house last transfer but we were traveling :( BUT he invited us again! (Don't worry Sister Wynn was there in spirit I carry a little bit of her everywhere I go 🧚‍♀️)

🤍 To preface, we had seen this door with a picture of Jesus on it and had made a plan to come back and make sure we talked to whoever lived there. So, after a couple weeks we knocked again (no answer the first time) and a lady answered AND when we said we were Jesus representatives she glady welcomed us in!! We had an AWESOME conversation about Jesus and guys I'm not sure I've met anyone who loves Jesus as much as her. So basically she's super cool, but uhm a phone call the next day dhring lunch revealing that she is now worried we are going to fire and brinstone...BUT despite our differences we both love Jesus and that's something to celebrate and I love her 

💙 So we've had some more stormy days but it was such a blessing because we had lots of time and got to contact LOTS of members! Just call and see how they're doing :)

🤍 Guys, talked with lady at church who's new and held my own??! I'd say my Finnish is a gradual climb...I can slowly understand just a little bit more and say a few new words! Line upon line, as they say. By small and simple things I shall become fluent 🪩

💙 NEWS OF THE FRIEND THAT WAS BAPTIZED MY FIRST WEEK HERE: Sooo the missionaries in Romainia found her and they said they're gonna meet with her, which is so exciting because she doesn't have a church close to her, so the extra support will be just what she needs! BUT they wanted to know about her so I was able to tell them how amazing she was and it made me so happy 

🤍 (TITLE EXPLANATION) Okay so as you could maybe tell the title is in Mandarin Chinese...and it means "Do you speak Chinese?" Soooo we ran into a dad and his daughter while out "finding" and turns out he doesn't really speak English or Finnish so I whipped out like the one phrase I remember in Chinese and he said yes! And then a bunch of other things I didn't understand....so that was pretty awkward BUT he actually gave us his number (after some chatting through Google Translate) and said we could meet again! Definitely a miracle from God, and guys this is like the 3rd person I've met here who only speaks Chinese-I think Heavenly Father is telling me to brush up on my Chinese.....

10 ¶ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I really love these verses, God promises that He is with us. So whether we realize it completely or not God is leaving a trail of tender mercies as we go along. I've found so many tender mercies as I've been looking for them! I'd love to invite yall to look for the tender mercies God is sprinkling into your day :) As for the rest of the verse, sometimes we're asked to hard things (life is HARD) but we aren't asked to go at it alone! Help/comfort/peace are just a prayer away. Of course things happen in God's timing but we can have a "patient confidence" that we will recieve blessings and that God does help His children, in His way and wisdom. 

SIVUTEHTÄVÄT 

💥 So when we got into Tampere the STLs were trying to cook up some pizzas however their oven started to smoke quite a lot...turns out it's a little broken haha but like what are the odds?? That's two broken ovens in 2 weeks! 

💃 Me because the members noticed my new Marimekko dress 

🚴‍♂️ Soooo we did some chalk finding...we drew some pictures of Jesus, wrote some scriptures, invited people to church but high key it was supa awkward-and we kept almost getting run over by bikes...oopsies 

👩‍🎓 TOMORROW I GRADUATE FROM BEING A GREENIE WOOHOO! 

🛌 I got so confused and lowkey a little scared one night because I checked all around the apartment and I couldn't find my comp anywhere! Turns out she was uh under her bed waiting to see if I'd notice hahah 

🏐 Lentopallo! Another volleyball day!! And GOOD NEWS my ankle feels like it's very close to all healed up and I could be happier I missed sports so much
