PÄIVITYKSET

🎀 Lesson with someone new! Super cool dude, although there is a high chance he is interested in more than the gospel if you know what I mean...BUT hey, I am always grateful for an opportunity to bear my testimony of Jesus Christ!

🎀 We had a call/lesson with one of our shy Finnish friends where we read the Book of Mormon together and I was able to bear simple poweful testimony that God knows and loves us :)

🎀 Also had a little lesson with one of our new members (literally the BEST member missionary wow) We talked about living daily repentance, or trying to be just 1% better each day with God's help and support!

🎀 YOUTH ACTIVITY?! So yeah, we had a youth activity where we made some super yummy Greek food (shoutout Elder Török) and it´s always fun to bond with the youth, definitely makes me feel a bit old though...🤷‍♀️six 🤷‍♀️seven....🤷‍♀️

🎀 SPLITS!! Sorry for all the mission terminaligy in here guys, I forget not all of us speak missionary but basically "splits" is when 4 sister missionaries get together and switch companions for the day. So I was with the very swag and lovely Sister Mortensen! She was such a good example to me of talking to everyone we see! Also shoutout, she surprised me by being fluent in Swedish-

🎀 Little miracle story for you guys: We were knocking apartment doors asking people if they wanted to here a messon about Jesus Christ and joy when we asked an older lady, she responded with "let me ask my husband" so we waited outside and then we were invited in! We sat down and talked with him and it turned out he already knew about our church! Long story short we had a wholesome chat with him and invited him to learn more. Whether or not something bigger come from that, I know God is in this work yall.

But what He did say was that there was progress, and in God’s eyes, that is good! ...as we labor with God in whatever way He asks, we grow into the measure of our own creation. God rejoices in our progress, and so should we, even when we still have work to do."

I don´t think I´m alone in saying we all have progress we wish we were making, wanting to become more, the very best we could be. And I doubt I am alone in saying that we recognize shortcomings and fall over and over trying to get there. As a missionary I feel this way a lot, but really this principle can apply to anything in our lives. Any place we are trying to improve, so I want to echo what Elder Shumway teaches, rejoice in any progress you make and keep going! The worst thing we can do is stop trying, so don´t give up! God will never lose faith in you. Trust in HIS ability to get you places you didn´t think possible. Rely on and in God. What can you do to invite His power in to your life? What could be changed? Don´t be discourged but also don´t stand still in progressing! You are worth the effort, you were paid for with Christ's blood, you are of infinite worth.

SIVUTEHTÄVÄT

🥅 We play a game here every Tuesday night called "sähly" which is super fun, basically floor hockey

🧦 I finished knitting a sock!

(yes I've only done one so far-).

🏡 For District Council I got to visit our church building in Kerava and I didn't realize it was the church because it just looks like a cute modern house to me haha

🥛 We had an awesome dinner appointment this week where we were fed authentic Venezuelan food AND we had a classic dessert that involves a very sugary drink with blended up pasta-yep actual cooked noddles up in there
