glögi and General Conference ☃️

HAUKKUMINEN

New obsession unlocked this week, it is... 🥁🥁🥁🥁 GLÖGI a Finnish Christmas time drink (yes I know it's the beginning of October) and it is way too delicious.

ASIOITA

🎀 Splits with the STLS in Marjaniemi! Sister Heathcote is such a good missionary and it was super cool to see the strong bonds of friendship she still had with these people from way back in "her first area".

👨‍👩‍👧 DC blitz miracle! While out on them streets looking for people interested in our message of sugar, spice, Jesus Christ, and everything nice we found a couple (and a cute baby) who we had a fantastic conversation with! We gave them a Book of Mormon and had yet another amazing opportunity to bear our witness of Christ.

🍞 When in doubt and haven't seen a recent convert at church in a long time, bring them sourdough bread. Works every time. Seriously such a cool experience and great opportunity to bear simple powerful testimony.

👸 (<---- kunningatar) Youth activity! We played the card game "scum" and I was the queen

☕️ Lesson with our Ukrainen friend! We talked about the Word of Wisdom and unfortunately we couldn't get her to commit to following it but we bore (again) powerful testimony. Basically the spirit was unmistakably there!

🥞 General Conference and pancakes! We made some American pancakes and invited friends to come watch a session with us. It was super fun and a friend came who is SUPER cool. He said he'd pray to see if God wanted him to attend, God answered yes, and so he came!

🐈‍⬛️ DA. I absolutely adore this family we visited, being at their house makes me feel at home :)

🐾 Lesson teaching practice and raining cats and dogs haha. A member agreed to let us practice teaching her a "lesson" in Finnish and we throughly enjoyed the company of her dog and 6 cats as well

🌧 DA. So fun! Mostly communicated in Finnish and I was even telling jokes in Finnish?! This was a tender mercy to me because honestly it's hard for me to feel good about my language ability...BUT that's okay God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

-Heavenly Father loves me enough to refine me

-Do I do things that require more faith to recieve more faith?

-my trials are evidence of His love

-He is with me, He will not forsake me

-If I trust Him my spiritual power can become equal to my trials

Heavenly Father loves us. You have a Father in Heaven who loves you! He will never give you a challenge he doesn't believe you can tackle, and He is always there waiting for you to tell Him you need Him. (He's there even if you don't tell Him too) Trust your Father in Heaven, He trusts you. Go talk to Him! Thank Him for His son Jesus Christ who makes all things possible. We can become perfected, don't give up! Remember what your Heavenly Father would say to you when you feel discouraged. Find scriptures of the words of Jesus Christ! You're worth the effort :)
