HAUKKUMINEN ⁉️

This week was a fast one! Although to be fair they all go super fast, haha. To recap because I don't talk about this stuff super often BUT I've been a missionary for about 7 months now, in Finland about 5, and I'm in my 3rd transfer of 8. Crazy to think I'll probably be back in America this time next year!

ASIOITA
πŸ’„Got our makeup done by a Venezuelan member, I literally couldn't recognize myself
πŸ‘©‍🏫 School Presentation! I got to give a quick 15 minute summary of our beliefs in Finnish to a class, which was a super neat experience because I could really feel the spirit there in the room :)
- Lots more to this but basically we along with someone representing Judaism and someone who was Pentecostal representing general Christianity were able to share our beliefs and Sister Potter had the harder job of being a panel where the kids could ask us all questions SUPER cool opportunity though and afterward 2 girls asked us more questions and we were able to give him Book of Mormons!
πŸšͺ While tracting we ran into a guy who told us he only had 2 months to live and I'm a bit ashamed to say we didn't say much to him (we were a bit shocked to hear this you can imagine) but I felt like we should leave him with something still so we went back and left him a pamphlet about the Plan of Salvation. I really hope he receives it because I can't imagine going through life not knowing what happens when we die!
🎢 Let's just say I never thought I'd be teaching a man from Sierra Leone how to sing church hymns in Finland- but he's the best and shoutout our Finnish member who's been helping him to learn to sing the songs with us
🎲 GAME NIGHT If you've never played the card game "Mau" I don't know if you should haha BUT my dear from from Rauma came to visit Helsinki again and I JUST LOVE HER

HENGELLINEN SANOMA 🀍
Welllllll even though I already shared a miracle let's keep this good vibes going!

Romans 8:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us

Life is hard, put too simply and truthfully haha. There's a million things that could go wrong, and that go wrong. A million things to worry about, and let's be honest, we worry about. But guys, what about the things that could go right? The things that DO go right in life?? The promise is, we can live joyfully when we remember Jesus Christ. Why is that? Because Jesus Christ is hope. Hope for new beginnings. Hope for life eternal. Hope that no matter what life throws at us, no matter how tough or bad or destructive... Hey maybe life can break us down sometimes but I'll share something someone told me recently when I told her I was a mess.
"Good thing Jesus loves to clean up messes."
We are His purpose, He will make us whole again. We can be whole today, invite Jesus into your life and you invite joy that's real and makes no sense. Don't take my word for it! Go try it!!

I love yall, my heart and my inbox is open to yall haha
