(TITLE EXPLAINATION) Also guys- I hit my 9 months aka I'M A MIDDLE AGED MISSIONARY! WHAT? I honestly can't believe it. It feels like I've been here either a month or my whole life-

Mosiah 16:9
He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.
(For added context: the sun rises at 9am and sets around 3pm...it's dark a lot) I love how this verse describes Jesus as a light "that can never be darkened". Aren't there so many dark times in life? Or maybe just somewhat dim, as your eternal vision is limited: when a family member dies, your job application is declined...life isn't free of dark times. BUT there is always light. There are times you don't feel it, but Jesus Christ never leaves you abandoned in the dark. He is endless light, He can become the light you need in your darkness hour. Think about what He has done for you. I invite yall to think about this question when times are tough: What has Jesus done for me?
(Also if you'd like, read this talk that discusses this idea of what the Savior has done for us:

๐บ๐ฒ missionary story
๐ธ I was going through our WhatsApp contacts, sent a random lady a voice memo in Finnish inviting her to church, she reacted with a heart and then didn't think too much of it. She didn't end up coming to church so I thought that was the end of it, however, she calls us like 3 hours after church is over asking where we are...we explain we left because church was long over but we'd love to meet sometime. She agreed! So basically a full week later on Saturday we pull up to her apartment. She gives us yummy juice and korvapuusti (look it up it's so delicious) and she ends up telling us how more than a year ago sister missionaries had knocked on her door with a message of Jesus, right as she received difficult news. She showed us the verse, she had circled and labeled with the date they had shared it! Basically we were able to have a very powerful lesson thanks to missionaries from over a year ago who had knocked at just the right time...How crazy is that??!

❄️ IT SNOWED oh my goodness, guys despite being in Finland I was told it wouldn't snow for a looooooong time BUT IT DID IM SO HAPPY
⚽️ I got kicked in the face with a soccer ball...then my nose started bleeding pretty bad...but I probably looked really cool (that's just what I'm telling myself)
๐ I asked the primary kids what the meaning of Christmas was and immediately this kid in the back was like "LAHJAT." *meaning presents* don't worry tho I explained Jesus is the greatest present from our Heavenly Father ๐
๐ชSoooo we got a refferal (someone who filled out an add and was interested in the gospel) and we had tried texting and calling him but he didn't answer...we figured he probably wasn't actually interested but we had an address sooooo we went to his door. We knocked and he answers with "Ah I think I know what's going on here..I uh...filled out a survey...I didn't realize...Uhm...I'm not...actually...my last name is Mohamed so yeah..." Yeah it was really awkward but SOOOOO funny oh my goodness
Love you all!
