Sisar in a Suomi Sauna

Hiya everyone, this is my mom. (trainer)  Her name is Sister Wynn, she's going home this week and I am going to miss her so much. She has been such an example to me, from day 1, of Christlike love and charity. I love you Wynn!  But in other news, transfers are in a week. A WEEK! I swear the transfers just feel faster and faster and before I know it I'm going to be back home-so wild to think about.  Yay for Finnish boxing-day and celebrating Christmas for 3 days! We have so many lovely members who are gonna take us in during the holiday, AND my comp and I did some fun christmas things for each other too. We also had a Christmas Conference and I got to sing some songs! (serious shoutout to Aimee and being my inspiration to sing My Grown Up Christmas List)  But with it being Christmas time I think it appropriate to share a special spiritual thought focusing on the greatest gift of them all: Our dear savior and friend, Jesus Christ.  This Child divine...

Alright ladies and gents 👏 welcome back to the life of a missionary in Finland! Let's get right into those updates: 🌟 Our Ukrainian friend that I mentioned in my last email. He came to church again and so did this lovely member who could speak with him AND apparently there's another lady in the ward who is a professional translator?! So, God met our friend's needs through these lovely members and it was just wonderful. ALSO we've been continuously meeting with this friend and yesterday we invited him to be baptized‼️A decision hasn't been made yet but it was an amazing opportunity to testify to him of this most important first covenant he can make with his Father in Heaven.  🌟 CHRISTMAS PARTY! Yeah so the ward had a Christmas Party and it was so fun to watch and take part in the festivities. Hearing Santa speak Finnish was pretty cool. GOOD NEWS 🔔🧹💦 (I'm just a little bit excited for the day I can see Wicked part 2) BUT I'm back and happier than last week haha. It turns out lack of sun and mass amounts of cloudy days on end will get to a fella-  ANYWHOSIE here some updates:  🎁 We start with a referral. We call this referral and we kinda think to ourselves, hmm this guy sounds like 12...turns out it's because he IS 12 but hey he wanted a Book of Mormon for his friend's birthday party!  🎁 Next we have the phone call. So, we get called by a random number but when we answer we have basically no idea what this guy is saying in Finnish. This surprises us because, well, we can understand most things at this point, or at least enough for context that leads to greater understanding. However, that just wasn't happening so he eventually gives up on us and switches to Finnish, telling us that he wanted to know if we have a chimney and if we want it cleaned.
