Sisar Dickson vs "FIRE DEMON" ☠️🔥

Howdy everyone!! Unfortunately I do not have very much time to compose this email....... Um in fact Sister Israelsen is typing as I speak. She is my scribe/swag baby. She takes some liberty in typing a few extra details.

Today, we start with a dramatic story as the title suggests. Then I would be pleased to share with yall a spiritual thought.

Twas Sunday eve(ning) , and all was well. Sister Israelsen and Sister dickson were enjoying some very lovely tortillas(aka the finnish version of tacos). When Brother H started story-telling about his famed fire-demon hot sauce he tortured missionaries with. One thing led to another and a deal was struck. 10 drops of poison on a single tortilla chip, and no reliever for 3 minutes. If successful, he would take sister Israelsen and I out to eat anywhere of our choosing. oh man *sister dickson looks into the distance with glazed over eyes* right then, so... sister dickson bravely ate the whole dad gum thing. And in that one moment, everything was perfect.... and then that moment ended. :( tears streamed down her face and heat tortured the senses. However, the 3 minutes passed, but the pain did not. The milk was drank rather quickly, and then a little more, then some bread, then more milk, followed by desert. um ya. The body did its thing.. and the stomach rebelled. The bathroom was visited. And stomach meds were administered. The pain took a recess enough that sister Israelsen and sister dickson could teach a very nice lesson in finnish. However, the poison had not been extracted, which presented itself as the two lovely sister missionaries were leaving. A polite "Do you still have that bucket?" led to the only thing that leads to asking for a bucket. And finally, the nightmare (after a couple sips of water) was had.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

1 Nephi 22:2

"And I, Nephi, said unto them: Behold they were manifest unto the prophet by the voice of the Spirit; for by the Spirit are all things made known unto the prophets, which shall come upon the children of men according to the flesh."

I really love this verse because one of my favorite things to be able to teach people about is the reality of God being a Loving Heavenly Father. In this verse, we learn Heavenly Father is loving in the sense that He gives us prophets who help lead and guide us to the happiest life possible. In other words, prophets can help us to know how we can best come to know Jesus Christ in our time and circumstances. And because God loves us, He also gives us the gift of His spirit. This spirit allows us to feel and know for ourselves that not only Heavenly Father loves us, but that Jesus Christ loves us more than anything. And we can realize how real His Atoning Power is. I also think when Jesus Christ becomes our motivator (just as we were always His) anything becomes possible. I know He lives, and He wants to give you a new beginning because you are of infinite worth. He will always try to remind you of that. ❤️
